Ok, it sounds not long but I was putting in an extra 4 hours each day. Getting traffic to your site is the most common struggle internet marketers have when they start the business. It took me nearly 8 months to come to 10 K a day. 

You know it is hard to get traffic, but it is not impossible.

When you follow a simple formula on how to improve your traffic you can grow with easy techniques your sales and conversions.

Technique Number 1 Collecting emails as the money is in the List.

It is believed that the more traffic you get, the more sales you make. Unfortunately, this is not true, just because your traffic goes up doesn’t mean your sales go up.

One thing you should do when you have a website is to focus on collecting emails. Build an email list.
Create a good Freebie a product that has value and people are keen on getting it.

Then you are able to grow your list. Also, one thing is you have to give value first before you can get sales. Don’t focus only on the money focus on the value you can provide for your visitors.

The bigger you grow your email list, the more people you are going to convert into customers.

The most important thing is to focus on conversion optimisation. You properly think your site is already optimised, but I guess it is not optimised enough; otherwise, you would not be here and read my blog.

Optimising a Website for conversion you must run split testing like AB Test. Most of the marketers wait a long time until they start split testing as most of them think it is not necessary, not the right time, or they are just not comfortable with it.

But if you do not do the split testing how do you know what is going to work and what is not working. Conversions will be then just guessing.

AB Testing is the best ROI generation from your marketing spent, yet very few companies and marketers spend any energy on AB testing.

There are a lot of tools you can use like Crazyegg, Optimizely, Hotjar, and VWO just to name a few.

Crazyegg, for example, will show you where people click on your site and where they do not click.
It shows you how far people scrolling down your page, and they make it very easy to run AB testing.

That is wrong thinking just because everyone writes a lot of content; it doesn’t mean you need to follow.

When you do that you are more likely to get social shares, Traffic, Linkbacks and higher rankings on Google and Bing.

#Linking your blogs to a handful of people or places you got your source from, or to other competitors within your space that will help you share your content even further.

When you link out to those sites, make sure you email them when you publish that blog post.

Technique Nr. 4 Building a Notification list to inform your customers about new blogs.

Tools like subscribers.com make it super simple for people to subscribe. The opt-in cat is another option. When they subscribe, you can create a drip feed within subscribers.

One of my first trip notifications is my favourite Keyword Tool. When I do that, I am sending people to jaaxy.com that drives me a ton of traffic, a ton of usage. It is a favourite way to use in marketing. Use one of your favourite software or tools.

You can push notifications to use as a primary way to drive traffic to your website, and at the same time, you can generate leads and sales.

Technique nr. 5 Take a look at your competitors uses the software to spy on them.

Using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs and Buzzsumo, you can spy on your competition.

SEMrush shows you all the popular terms, organic and paid your competitors going after.

Ahrefs shows you everyone who is linking, to your competition that is not linking to you.

Buzzsumo shows all the popular articles that your competition had read.
Use this tool to figure out what is working for your competition and do more of that. Also, you can use these tools to see what is not working for your competition so you can avoid making the same mistakes.

Take advantage of the tools that are out there it helps you to grow your business, and at the same time, you learn from your competition.

Not all tools are free if you can invest in some tools if not use the free version. But upgrade when you can. After all, you are running a business. 

Technique Nr. 6 Go Visit and engage in trade shows, enhance the offline business.

Trade shows are huge. I know we are talking about online stuff but who says you can’t generate business offline.

Even though I get over 20 K unique visitors a month, I still generate more revenue offline.

Lots of people are not so familiar with the internet and getting to know them to present your business is a great idea.

Check out trade shows, Conferences and localised meetups that is how I am building my brand.

Speaking on conferences, going to localise meetups, doing all these things will help you generate business. ( when you start out, you have to know that you will not be paid speaking on conferences or shows.) It does not matter, but it brings you customers and strengthen your Authority.

People aren’t just communicating over the internet, they also want to get to know you. Build that personal connection in person, this is an essential factor. People like to know with whom they are dealing and the mouth to mouth advertising is still popular.

It is simple it is easy you can even apply to speak at conferences also if you haven’t spoken at any event before, just take all your industry events to apply to all of them and one for sure will accept you.

This is a numbers game, that is how I got my first speaking gig. Remember offer value first.

Technique Nr. 7 Get yourself some press you can hire an agency.

Companies like prserve.com will do a performance-based press. If they get you on sites like TechCrunch, Buzzfeed, Entrepreneur or whatever it may be, whatever you are targeting they will charge you.

What that means is that you pay for it.
Some of the not so well-known gurus always say they featured on Forbes or CNN or whatever. That is how they do it. They take their luck and success into their own hands.

If they don’t, get you the deals they won’t charge you.
You also have to understand that it is not a guarantee that you will have the links to your site. Just because you get on TechCrunch doesn’t mean PR serve is going to guarantee that they are going to link to your website.

Yeah, they will mention your site, your product, and your service, and they may want to interview you.

They will create real press even real magazines likes Forbes the offline edition or Entrepreneur, right the physical hard copy print magazine version. It is a great way to just generate press without having to pay those monthly retainers like most of those PR Companies charge.

Technique Nr. 8 Keep your content SEO optimised.

You do not have to use too much SEO or hire an SEO expert. The only thing you should do is use a keyword tool and check out the best keywords for your article or blog post.

Yes, you can. There are different Themes who have the typography already pre-installed. Unfortunately, my Theme did not have it, and my font when I use the headlines and I wanted to make some words bold looked very funny. I was looking for an option to change my Font for my WordPress Theme.

I looked around and tried some options, and when I tried to change the font on my Theme through CSS. Style it did not work. With every update it went back to the old font, I could also not overwrite the default font. I guess my Theme pulls the fonts from somewhere else.

On another website, I use a different Theme it worked with CSS. Style Sheet but only for my posts and the pages I had to re-do again. As I am not a Programmer and don’t want to mess up my site I decided to look for a plugin that is not too heavy and will not slow down my site speed. I found a plugin and installed it.

How to get started with the Easy Google Font Plugin.

The Easy Google Font plugin is one of the best free plugins what is available right now for marketers and for web designers. It has a great range of fonts, and you can also change your font colour, font size, font appearance, space and so much more.
I tried a few font plugins but the google font plugin I find is the best. I use it now for any WordPress Theme that has no Typography option available.

Whenever I use a plugin I test the site speed before and after, the result is that the Google fonts is less dense and is not slowing down my site. Please, whenever you install a plugin and do some changes on your site do not forget to back up your site.

Step 1. Log into your site and go to Dashboard> Plugins> Add New > look for the Easy Google Font Plugin> and install it> activate it.

The Google Font plugin is a win-win for every web designer out there.

Step 2.
Go to your Dashboard and click appearance > go to customizer> click on it > open it and there you can see a brand new item on the customizer dashboard called Typography. > click on it > and it open Default Typography > click on it and you can see the paragraphs and headline one, headline two through to headline six. ( Depend on your Theme)

If you scroll down a little bit, we got first of all the standard web fonts that are all the stuff that is on your computer and then we have the google stuff. Then we have the Script Subset > all Subset we do not worry about this now. We go down to Heading one.

If we change Heading one we go to Heading one choose font> click on it and choose New Rocker ( That is the font I choose for you to see)> You can see immediately that your heading one has changed. >If you change now heading two, three, four, five, six to New Rocker > You can see it is very fast to change the font of your headings.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and how much the google font plugin can do.
Discover more options, there is font weight, and that usually applies only to the google form that has options on font weight.

Step 3. Change the Font Weight, Text Decorations and Text Transform on your WordPress Theme.

When we choose a more flexible font like “open sans” we can see that we have different options like font weight/style. If we go up to 800 then you can see that we also have text decorations like underline, sounds a bit weird, or overline sounds even weirder, line through, and we have text-transform like uppercase, lowercase, and capitalize.

Use things you know that potentially work in text transformations like uppercase and it could be useful. The options are flexible. Save or click publish.

Step 4. >Click on Appearance Tab

If you click on the appearance tab which is for things like font colour, you can change it to red or blue, or to black as I can see many themes have the anthracite colour now I don’t like it very much, so I changed mine to black.

I love this google font plugin as it is excellent and it is free so what are you waiting for install it now.
All the functionality goes right through from your header one tag to header six tag and paragraph.

We change header 3 to font nixie it has one weight and when we change the colour say a beautiful blue, what it shows you that you can see very quickly how your main font families classes can be transformed and turned into a bespoke option on your website.

As you can see, there are default options for the main six headings and also the paragraph and when we change it does it real quick.
So what happens when you want to change something that is not a standard class so we got our standard headings and we got our standard paragraph, and there is much other stuff there.

Changing the Logo Font or Menu Font on your WordPress Theme.

Changing the logo font or the menu font that is where this plugin has his qualities.
It is a bit Kodi, but I am trying to keep this as a little on the lighter version, but sometimes you have to roll up your sleeves and get your hands a bit dirty. I hope you do not mind. I promise you will love it. I am not a Programmer so remember if I can do it so can you.

So let’s and don’t forget to save and publish that first.

Step 5.

Now we are going to the front end of our website and give that a refresh and see the changes we just made.

So what we want to do now is change the Logo Text Font or whatever you want to call it. ( Site Title)

Of course, there is no option for that back here on the easy google fonts typography. The Question is now how do we do it? Well, it is not so difficult as you think, get started.
The first thing we do is we need to find out what class title this logo text ( or whatever you want or call it) is.
How we do this?

Go to your Website Element ( Logo Text ) and hover over it with your mouse.

It is pretty easy to do with any browser, and you just have put the cursor over the element we want to know the class then use the >right click of your mouse and a tab will open up that says inspect or inspect element. Click on inspect element, and you get a whole text with HTML codes from your element.

It also shows you what the CSS properties for that item are, and you can see it here.

We are interested in the code above it.

It is called the site type, and that is the class that decides what that logo text will look like.

Now we make a note by just simply clicking on the text copy with CTRL+C and go back to the dashboard. Close the customizer and go to the settings menu. You will see an item for google fonts.

Click on it, and you come to the list of Easy Google Font.  You will see different items like …

What does that do, you can create different class elements that you can then control through your customizer in the dashboard.

Click on create new google font control write the name site title and click create font control once you created it you have the option to add a CSS selective class. Remember you just copied the class from the inspector element.

Remember you just copied the class title (  .site-title)  from the inspector element. ( picture Nr.2)
So it is dot site – title we copied that down, and we are going to paste it into the CSS selective class press the tab key, and you click force style override ( picture nr.3) then click save font controls. ( picture nr. 4)

The new Option under your Dashboard.

Now you have a new option when you go back to your dashboard under appearance and click customise.
Look at typography now we have two options.
Option 1: is the default option what is the paragraphs, and the headings.
Option 2: is now Theme Typography.
If you look, you can see that it is the site title class we just created.
Now we can use the same option as we used for the default option and change font style, and we can change the font colour and so on. We can do the same as we did before.

Isn’t that incredible it gives you so much flexibility for any theme you customise or you develop. You can put custom fonts wherever you like in whatever context is required.

If we choose now the font family for that and let’s give that term the classic Oswald, it is done. Isn’t that amazing?

I love it. We can now control almost every aspect of our typography on our pages. Make the font a bit bigger when it looks too small. Move the Line height a bit up and get the weight up a bit, and make it a bit fatter some letter spacing or slightly wider. All done.

Save and refresh and the same you can do now for any other text on your site. For example your text tag line.
Just repeat the steps.

So here I am coming back from this general get together meeting we have each month, and I am still a bit puzzled about the fact, that my friends think Keywords are out of date.

We are 8 friends. Some of them are bloggers for a magazine, and some of them work for a news and advertising agency.

Today was a bit different because one of my friends has a private Affiliate Blog as a second business and she complained that since 3 months her ranking dropped and she has lost a 1/3 of her visitors to her website. ( there was a simple solution to that read to the end)

I ask her if she changed her keyword tool or did she change keywords and she looked at me as I am coming from the moon. She really asks me if I am serious?
Of course, I am serious as Keywords are essential for SEO.

To my surprise 4 of the other Friends agreed with my friend. I looked a bit puzzled and surprised as I believe that all Websites should have Basic Search Engine Optimization done. It starts already when you set up your site. Am I wrong all these years?

Yes, it is true that the search engine and the digital world has come a long way. It has been more than 15 years in simply using keywords on a website or article.
That was at these times the only way for Search engines to understand what your site or article is about.

I agree with my friend that Search Engines have become much smarter, but never less Google and Bing use hundreds of signals to decipher and rank your site.

Yes, they factor in your comments and what people say about your site. As I see it, the content will be put in a graph like the method of topics and Google and Bing perform all kinds of semantic analysis.

Keywords are still a part of the foundation of the Search engines? As this is a basic how the search engine understands your website.

Why are Keywords important to SEO and to any Website?

If they want to be found on Google, Bing, Yahoo, and all the other smaller search engine.  

When setting up a blog and creating lots of content for an Affiliate Blog, you should follow a few basic rules use the basic settings for your Website.

Some Affiliates just set up a Site without the basic knowledge of SEO. Then they are wondering why no one is visiting their site, or fail in business.

A proper set up for a website is the same important as you would set up a physical business. When you start a physical Business you have to have a few basic steps in place to be able to operate efficiently.

SEO is still an essential task for Website Owners. It starts with your Website or Blog.

  • Indexed by search engine: Make sure your settings allow the search engines like google, bing, yahoo, ask.com, etc. index you. Inside of your dashboard you have the option to set it to Privacy and no index for your blog.
  • Please note non-index are only pages you do not want to indexed like privacy policy, Terms and condition, affiliate disclaimer etc… Please check that you have not ticked the privacy box and you set it up correctly.
  • Title and Tagline: Give your site a title and a tagline. Best with a Keyword from your niche. You can use a random keyword or use a keyword tool to check what people searching for in your niche. Filling this spot with relevant keywords that tell people what your site is all about. Under the Settings tab again, you want to go into the General section.   • Ping your content: You want to let search engines know that there is new content. Go to writing category under settings scroll down to update service. Find good ping services and enter there URL in there. It helps other sites to know that you have new content. ( this is optional and up to you) I use the free version of pingler.com
  • Categorise your blog: Important for any website is categorise your blogs and deliver a good navigation system. When a visitor lands on your site, you want it to be sticky. Sticky means they stay around for a while, not clicking out after they read one blog post. ( Bounce rate)
  • Good Navigation: A good navigation is essential and a list of categories and recent or popular post in your sidebar (easily done with widgets), let your visitors know there is more good content on your side.are keywords important for blogs
  • Permalinks: Again go to the settings section in your dashboard. Click on Permalinks. This option should be posted name. What this means is that after your domain and the word blog with URL will have the name of the post. Like this https:// your domain.com/blog/keyword-relevant-blog –title.
  • Keywords: Use both broad and long tail keywords in your post and pages. There are always affiliates who do not understand the meaning of broad and long tail keywords, and they try to rank for the most general keyword in their niche. Like “health or diet” Yes, it is easier to rank in search engines when you use a long tail keyword, but you should check the competition of that long tail keyword with a proper keyword tool. Like Jaaxy the free keyword tool.
  • Long Tail Keyword Phrase: that would be something like “ the best diet after pregnancy” It happens all the time that over time when your Authority is rising you will also rank for the broad keyword like diet.
  • Sitemap: This is important. Submit your sitemap to google. You can do with the google sitemap plugin or through an SEO Optimizing software on your sites like All in one SEO or Yoast. Otherwise, you have to do it manually create the site map that helps to guide the robots and spiders around your domain.

  • SEO Optimizer plugins: will give your blog a boost. There are different plugins available, and the most common are All in one SEO and Yoast. Those plugins will help you to maximise your blog post on autopilot. Do some research I use All in one SEO and on another site I use Squirrly. Both work well. Consider your needs and choose one.

The Google Keyword Planner is a tool that is mainly used for people who use Adwords for advertising. I still use keyword planner to get an idea what people are searching for, You can also use Google Trends for your search.

My other 3 friends did not agree with me, and in the end, my oldest friend agreed with me. So we have been 2 against 6. What is ok and I agree with their reasoning.
Two of my friends do both paying for advertisement and using social media. They use Keywords for advertising. 

My other four friends using social media with their networking and social groups. It seems that all is working for one or the other.
I was allowed to look at the website of my friend (where the stats went down,) and I figured out that somehow she made in every post she ticked the no index box and the no follow box. No index tick box on a blog page

I ask her for a reason, and she was not aware of it. But she also said that she fired one of her VA because she was getting too lazy and was writing blogs below average.
So we both guess the VA thought she get back at her in putting the no-index on.

For me, this is low as you can hurt a business with that. 
All is fine now, and my friend is still not convinced that keywords are essential to any website and blog.

How to decrease the bounce rate and increase page views?

When I started out writing my blogs I believed it is hard to bring people to my site. Oh, boy was I wrong. The hardest part is actually to make the people stay on your blog. Took me a while to figure that one out. But eventually I did.

As a website owner I can say bringing people to your site is the easy part of making them stay the difficult part.

Ok, when you start getting people to your website seems to be difficult, but you can manage that easier, than getting them to stay. The bounce rate depends on how long the visitor stays on your site, and what you have to offer.

Many visitors who are coming to your site will end up leaving your site without going to the 2nd page.
When the visitor is not scrolling down and is not going to the second page or choosing any other page that will increase your bounce rate. Unfortunately, this is decreasing your page view per visit.

If you are in affiliate marketing that means it will decrease your revenue or conversion rate.

Definition on the terms Bounce rate and Page view

What is the Bounce rate

It is the percentage of visitors who enter any website and leave the site ( also called bounce) in a couple of seconds instead of viewing any other pages or clicking any other links on your site.

What is a Page view

Every time a visitor visits any webpage, it is called page view( as the visitor is viewing your page
A Page view is commonly confused with website hits. People use hits to describe a pageview
From a technical part, a hit is recorded for each object that loads for a page view. Page view and website hit are not the same.

If you have an affiliate website than your website will be mostly monetised with banner ads, and that means the page view plays a more significant roll in getting paid by the company who places the ads.

Bounce rate and Banner ads

If you see it from that site, it means if you are trying to build an audience a loyal audience than the bounce rate plays a big roll in it.

The higher the bounce rate, the more money you lose. The lower the bounce rate, the more money you can make. It is called conversion. However, it also shows that your site is attractive to your visitors.

Of course, you should have a look at your bounce rate in Google Analytics and see what is your bounce rate on your site, or you might know it already, and that is why you are reading my blog.
I will show you some ideas and tricks on how to improve your bounce rate and page view. I will share a few methods for that.

Tip number 1 on how to increase your website bounce rate and increase your page views through #internal links

Interlinking from your pages to each other on posts or pages within the content it will bring you more page views. It is a proven fact.
How to do Interlinking? It is so easy, search for the post you want to link and adding the link to your post or page.

Always make sure that internal linking and external linking open in a new tab. Otherwise, you might lose the visitor as the visitor might not find his way back to your site.

If you interlink keep in consideration that they should be relevant to each other. That is a pleasant experience for the reader or visitor, and your visitor might come back to search for more on your site.

To do that you need to have a few blogs on your website and if you have lots of content on your site than this method is excellent, as it will open the floodgates when it gets started.

Linking your Content

When you are planning to interlink old content with new content, there are two ways how to do it
One way is doing it manually. This means you spent time going back and forward from new to old blogs.
The easy way is doing it with a plugin.
The plugin I find quite useful it is called thirsty Affiliate

Did you know that internal linking also increases your SEO besides reducing the bounce rate and increasing the page views?

External links should always open in a new window. To avoid your visitor does not find his way back to your site.

Tip number 2 # Showing related posts below your Post or Page

It is like you look into the TV after one show or series is finish it says

“ next comes XYZ “

Visitors will leave your page if you do not show them to a post that is related or just a post with similar interests. Just call it favourite post, or latest post…

There are many ways how you can add a post or page related to the page or post you are showing.
You can, of course, do it manually, and some themes have that code it comes with the theme.

However, if it is not in your theme, you can always use a plugin and automate it.

Tip number 3 show #excerpts on front and archived pages to reduce your bounce rate and increase the page views.

When you show excerpts on front and archived pages, it will reduce the loading time for your site. What is an important point as you will know from yourself it the site is loading to slow you will leave the site?

When you show excerpts posts on your site, it also increases the page views.
You should almost never show the whole post on the archived pages and or front page.

If your bounce rate is high than this is an excellent way to reduce the bounce rate and increase the page view. However, this is up to you as it is your site.

Just imagine in your mind this scenario, you go to a website and find a dozen images in one post and then the site shows ten of the fully loaded picture posts on one page.

I believe most of the visitors will leave as the experience is not pleasant. The next obstacle is the website, will load so slowly . Can you imagine that?

What would you do…? I think like everyone would do, leave the site.
Most of the good themes have that feature of showing excerpts on front and archived pages already built in.
Yes, the world of website building has become advanced to 10 years ago.

Tip number 4 to increase your page views and reduce bounce rate using an interactive sidebar

Any sidebar in a website is playing a crucial role in increasing pageviews and reducing bounce rates.
Unfortunately, it is so many times overlooked by Website owners.
A great way is to show your favourite posts
• Day by day
• week by week
• month or month
• alternatively, the recent posts on a single post page.

What I want to say with that is you can show favourite posts in the sidebar. You can customise them with stunning images to catch the interest of the visitors and redirect them to other posts on your side.
You can put a small video into the sidebar from your favourite post …. Be creative the possibilities are there.

Remember each extra or additional interactive sidebar content feature is a potential avenue to keep the visitor’s attention on your site. You can check your website speed with some free tools.

Tip number 5# pop-ups, ads and distracted advertising

When you have pop-ups on your side, let them slide in at the corner as if people are reading your content and the pop up is coming up they get annoyed and might leave your site.
Be friendly with your pop up and don’t make it annoying. Pop-ups are distractive, and lots of people hate them. There are different ways how to place pop-ups find a good and friendly way.

I keep my pop up at the corner, and I show them at the exit.
Be aware and cut down on distractions like auto-play audio, autoplay video and banner ads on your site.

Tip number 6 #splitting up your long posts

If you are a person who loves to write super long posts, then I suggest split them up. Lots of people do not favour long post, and they will click away if the post seems to be too long.

Google loves long content, we all know, but a long article with 10K will be a bit overwhelming for a visitor. A long article will also have a slower loading time, so break them up with the WordPress #tag in your post.

You can transform your long article in pdf. Files and offer them to download your article. That gives value to your visitor, and it will get you a potential customer.

How to split the post
Simple go to post editor in your post, and switch to text mode and add the
WordPress <!–nextpage–> tag in your post. anywhere you want to break the post into the next page. Your post will have multiple pages.

Take caution that you do not trigger an adverse effect, if you do not have a sufficient amount of content on each page, then your visitor gets upset.
Splitting pages up should go from 5K below that do not split.

Place a “Random Post” or “Explore button” in the above fold area of your page or post.
It is a simple button that redirects visitors to random posts on your website.

A word of caution

I give you here a few plugins, please be aware and test plugins first before you use all of them.
Not every plugin is compatible with your theme. I also like to mention that too many plugins can slow down your site.
So choose wisely what you want to implement and what suits you for your site. Test your site speed before and after installing a plugin.

For every problem, there is a solution. For decreasing the bounce rate and increasing page views, there are many options available. What is best for you it is up to you, and you have to decide.

For me the best way or best solution to reduce the bounce rate and increase page views is when you create quality content.
Some of the Tips I have given you will only work if you have enough content. They all work, apply the ones you feel they are best suited for you.

If we would receive for every minute we spent on social media a cent, there would be a lot of social media millionaires.

If you do spend time on social media, have you ever checked just out of curiosity how much time you spent during the day on your social media account? When I started out with Pinterest, I spent more than 4 hours each day creating my pins and launching successfully Pinterest Group Boards.

I created Boards, Group boards and pins and it was fun in the beginning but also time-consuming.
Every marketer who is familiar with social media will spend at least an hour of their day to engage and interact with their followers on social media. Why? Social media is a great tool to drive traffic to your website, socialise and make your blogs known and recognised.

When I started first with Pinterest, I had no idea what I should do and how to create a Pin or a board. It wasn’t easy for me in the beginning, but I decide not to give up. There was not much training around, so I bought myself a course on Udemy, and it gave me the basics.

Now you can find a lot of information on youtube and on different channels for Pinterest training. Most of the Pinterest Training is free.
The regular boards are ok, and you can change them into a group board. But before you do that you should have around 500 followers and 10 boards on Pinterest.

This is my advice, as people will not follow group boards if the followers are low. Creating a group board is a great incentive to increase your traffic to your Website and your followers, but it also comes with a few headaches and, you need to follow and set a few rules to manage a group board.

What that means is very simple the more traffic you get to your website the more potential subscribers, clients and customers you can get.

When users usually decide to follow the contributor’s board most of them click “follow al” not everyone but 60% do, and that means they will be added to a group board you are part of. This exposure through other group boards increases your visibility to other users, and your followers will grow at a faster rate.

Automate your Pin Schedule

Repining and joining group boards, as well as creating group boards are time-consuming. You can spend easily a whole day doing it. It is fun, don’t get me wrong but if you are trying to make money online then you have to use your time wisely. There are services available like Tailwind ( free and paid) to schedule your pins. Creating Pins can be done with different creation software like Canva, Pic monkey, Stencil, Piktochart, Design bold only to name a few.

Authority ( Brand establishment)

If you work with a team on a specific project, then you can use group boards to share tips, training, materials and resources. If you do not want to share the board than make it secret and no one will see except the people you specify.

Make People aware of your Brand.

A great way to share your Product or make people aware of your Brand. You can interact and establish your Credibility with your Brand.
The best way is to start with a Pinterest Group Board and contribute frequently to build your brand.

You can also run a contest or support a charity.

How do you get started

When you want to create a Contributor Board, you need to go to your Pinterest account login and click on the add +tab ( boards)
Select the option to create a Board.
The first step is the same as you create a standard Pinterest Board.

Step 4. Select a category where the board fits in
Step 5. Decide on you want to make it public or secret.
Step 6. Write your Description what your board is about.
Step 7. Save the board and add some pins.
When you have done that start adding some of your pins and re-pin some of your follower’s pins. Step 8. Click on edit your board ( the little pencil sign) and make your board a collaborator board.


The final step you  need to decide is who you want to add as a contributor.

There are two ways how to invite people to join your Pinterest group board.
If you invite people to join your group board, please keep in mind that you must follow at least one of their boards and they should be following at least one of your boards. Be selective and just don’t invite anyone. Invite People who are passionate and fit the topic.

When you enter the email address into the field “Who can pin”than Pinterest will email them an invitation and prompt them to join Pinterest.
The second choice is, and this is more natural and I prefer it that way that you can add the username of a pinner you would like to invite.

Again there comes a condition with it, and that is that you need to follow them first.
When you start typing their name, Pinterest will automatically show you the potential matches, i.e. people with those letters or name in their username.
Any of your current boards can be made into a group board. Choose a board that has already a lot of pins and do the same as above.

Add your Board to PinGroupie

PinGroupie is a tool that lets you participate in group boards, your board gets exposed to potential followers who want to join your board. Joining different boards gives you the chance to drive traffic to your site. You can also see there the most popular boards. Choose your niche and search the boards. Thousands of users that are on favourite boards engage actively in the group boards. If you want to get more exposure for your board, you can list it at PinGroupie, but the rule for Pingroupie is that you need at least 5 collaborators, 250 followers and 50 pins.

My advice for you and a word of caution ( here comes a headache)

Every time a contributor pins to a group board you will get a notification from Pinterest. My recommendation is that you turn off these notifications otherwise your inbox is bombarded with notifications and unnecessary emails.
How to turn off the notifications?
It is simple, select the group board in question, and click the edit board button, then click the turn off notification tab.
Do regular checks on your Contributors and Group Boards.
In your group board, you can decide who do you accept to join, and it is your choice of accepting someone into your group board. Keep it Spam free.
Remove the spammers and block them.

Housekeeping for your Pinterest Group Board

#Make sure and regularly check your board that it is a benefit for your business. Choose your audience carefully, so they are matched for your group board. (For example, someone who sells ladies fashion does not fit into a group board for electronic gadgets. )
#Grow your followers, the more followers a group board has, the higher the exposure you can expect for your business.

You will be able to see all the content that is currently on that board. New pins that get added to the group board will also appear on your Pinterest feed, regardless of the person who is pinning the pins. Unfortunately, Pinterest has no way to filter the pins what you can see.

Because of that, you might see pins from people you are not following, and there might be some spam and inappropriate content.
I make it a point of regular checking and monitoring your feeds, to ensure that you can quickly remove and spot something that is not desired from your part.

Take action immedateloy when inappropriate content and pins are pinned.

If you added someone to a particular group board and the person is not following your rules, spams or post inappropriate content remove them.
Click the selected board, and click on the remove tab next to their name.

Delete a board entirely

Choose the selected board click edit and hit the delete button on the bottom left.

Leave a Group Board anytime.

If someone adds you to a group board than you can leave anytime, you want.
Choose the board and click leave the board again.
You will be asked by Pinterest if you are sure you want to leave. Click yes and go. You are now permanently removed from that group board.

Conclusion

Take caution and do not go overboard in sending too many invitations to people to join your group board. Pinterest can also ban you for a couple of days when they feel you are spamming.
Another part I learned is that not everyone wants to join a group board. Be careful and respectful not to annoy people.
Avoid sending repeated requests. A good strategy is sent invitations to people who show an interest in your pins and can contribute to your business and brand.

Encourage people to join your group boards with your group board descriptions. Use some keywords and #hashtags to be found. State that you welcome contributors and anyone wants to join your group board should follow your board and comment on at least one pin of yours.

Make it easy for people to contact you add your email in the board description and ask people to send you an email to join.
Least not last create rules for your board. Note one of my rules is that I only want vertical pins like Pinterest that gives your group board an excellent overall and clean look.

What is ok don’t get me wrong, but some of the freebies make it hard and push you to upgrade and pay a monthly or yearly fee. One thing I do not like is that advertising on the site. That is annoying as you never know what add they put on your site.

After you signed up you will be redirected to a sign-up page. This page will give you access for Wealthy Affiliate. Siterubix free website is hosted with Wealthy Affiliate. That will give you access to 2 free siterubix sites and to the free starter Training to build an online business.

Chose a title for your Website. ( For the website I used “Tinascookingsite.” )

Choose the design of your Website
1. After you select your Theme ( Design) you can start building your site. Click on Design to start up your Website.

We continue …. you are now on your Dashboard Page where you can see the “Welcome to WordPress “and the blue bar that says customize your site. Please click on customize your site.

You will come to the customize page that looks like this for me. Don’t panic your page will look a bit different because you have chosen a different design. When you click on change ( No 2)  you will be able to change your theme if you are not happy with it. That is up to you. Just don’t change to often it is not good for your site.

Site Identity in SiteRubix. It is the same as a Word Press dashboard. 

When you click on Site Identity you will be able to insert a logo if you have one. If not and this is a family site with photos use one of your family.

  • Select a logo when you have one. If not skip that step you can always come back later.
  • If you want to change your Site Title now is the time.
  • If you want to change your Tagline you can do it here.
  • What you always have to remember is that you need to click on the published button after you are finished otherwise your changes will not be saved.

How to change the colour scheme on your Siterubix Site

Here you can change the colours scheme of your site. Just be aware a white background is less distractive.

Header text colour: this depends on your picture you need to change the colour that you can read your Site Title and Tagline.

Background colour: I normally choose white due it is less distractive. But of course, you can choose whatever you want, and suits your site best.

Colour Scheme : That comes with the Theme but you are able to change it, just make sure it is matching with the overall look of your site.

Remember whenever you make changes, please click on the published button before you continue.

Header Image in your Siterubix Site

You can upload your own header image. Please click on upload image then go to upload from your computer. I guess your media library is still empty as your site is new. The Media library will store all the pictures you upload on your site. When you come back later on it is easy to use the images again.

Please make sure that your image is according to the header size. Mine, for example, is 1600×400 pixels. You will be able to crop your image once you upload it for a perfect fit. You can also skip cropping. Some Headers have a slider, and you can upload up to three or four images, they rotate in your header. If you have 3 images, you can upload 3 images.
Again when finish uploading your image please click publish.

Background Image in your Siterubix Website

If you like to have a Background image in your Siterubix Site than you can upload one. Sometimes it looks not so good and the whole background looks then very busy. If you have a family website a background image might be an excellent idea. You can see in the picture I used a background picture you can immediately see.

If the header image and the background image actually blend in it might not look too bad. When you change the background image you need to again upload it from your computer, phone or tablet. You will need to decide on the image position and on the image size. You can play around with it and check how it looks. There are quite a few possibilities. Be creative as you want.

What is a Navigation Menu in a Website ( you are right it is nothing to eat)

A Menu in a Website,and how they are used at a most basic level of explanation is a collection of a list with links. Most of the Menus are on the site navigation area or on the header navigation bar. It is usually called a Navigation Menu. Every Link in a Navigation Menu is called a menu item. I will not discuss this here further as in the Training you will be walked through by Kyle and you will know in detail how to create it.

The basic term is that you create a top menu and a bottom or side menu. It is done and when you customize your site for the first time you can skip it. When you build your Website you will need to build and create the Menus. However don’t worry you will have the training in your free training lessons. Post or Homepage Settings in your SiteRubix Website

  • You have the choice between homepage setting or post setting.
  • What it means is that what is displayed on the homepage of your Website.
  • If you choose post than the post will be in chronological order ( classic blog) or as a fixed/static page displayed.
  • If you set it to a static homepage, you need to create the first two pages.
  • Why two? Because one will become the homepage, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.

Slider setting in a free Website 

Some Websites have Slider settings and some don’t have it always depends on your Theme. Some themes come with and some come without it. Most of the slider settings require a special pixel size and will only work when you select the static front page. Your header picture will change in an interval of the pictures you chose.

Contact Details for a Website

In some themes, we have them on the header, on the side or sometimes on the footer. You can insert your contact details if you want to, and I would recommend a separate email address. If you are using it as a family page than I would not fill out my contact page you want to avoid that spammers get hold of it and sending you Spam information or clogging up your inbox. On the other hand, if you have a company website or a business website for your products you might want to let your customers know who you are and where are you located. Be reminded that whenever you insert some changes into your site use the publish button to save it.

Additional CSS on a Website

If you are wondering what is CSS here is an explanation of it. Every Cascading Style Sheet (whether it is contained in a .css file, or embedded in the head element of an HTML document) is a series of instructions called statements. A statement does two thing.

a: it identifies the elements in an HTML document that it affects

b: it tells the browser how to draw those elements.

If you are new and not familiar with CSS, then I would recommend to wait and get all the other things set up. Your website is functioning OK even without the CSS. In the customize section you can learn how to do the CSS, if you need to. But for a beginner start slowly and go step by step don’t overwhelm yourself.

A tutorial on how to embed a YouTube video on a Website.

Embedding a  YouTube Video in WordPress is easy when you know how to add it.  You can insert a YouTube Video either directly from a URL or you use the embedded code from Youtube or anywhere else. 

Adding a  YouTube video to WordPress has become so much easier. Long it is gone now that if you have a website you need to be aware of HTML Coding. Sometimes I still use HTML coding as if I need to change a few things in a code. 

What is a Code

What is HTML Coding? 

Stands for “Hypertext Markup Language.” HTML is the language used to create web pages. … “Markup language” refers to the way tags are used to define the page layout and elements within the page. Source: https://techterms.com/definition/html

What is a Code?

A system of words, letters, figures, or symbols used to represent others, especially for the purposes of secrecy. A code can be used also in computers to program a computer to perform certain programs.

So let us get started with adding a video to your WordPress site. 

1. Get Started…

Login into your website and go to your Dashboard.

Click on your Dashboard on either Post or Page. Depends if you want to create a new one or if you want to insert into an existing post. 

a. If you insert the video into a new post then click add new post

b. If you insert the video into an existing post or page then click post or page and look for the page or post and click edit. 

2. Share the  YouTube Video.

After you, edit/open your post or page you go to the Website or Video you

want to insert. As you can see I have chosen YouTube.

3. Share a Link Embed

Click on share the video

You can insert the video with the URL or you can share the video as a embed code. I choose the video with embed. Click on embed. A code will show on the site of your YouTube Video. ( see picture above)

4. Copy the YouTube Code 

Copy the code from the video and paste it into your website.

You go back to your Website with the page or post you want to insert the video.

Click on text in the right corner of your post or page. ( see picture below)

5. Insert the YouTube Code

You have to know that when you paste the code in visual it will not work.

Mark in Visual write “Insert YouTubeVideo”  so when you click on the text tab you know the space where you want to paste the code.

6. Update your Page

Go up to the top on the right and click update your page. see picture below 

Update the pageOnes you have clicked update wait until your page is loading. When the update is finish you can check if your video is displayed properly.

7.YouTube Video is visual.

Click in the right corner on visual and you can see your video in the content.

8. Check and remove the wordmarks you wrote

That was easy right. Now take out the wording “insert video” as you do not want to have it appear in your content. That was only a help for you to see where you wanted to add the video within the text tab. Coding can be confusing sometimes. 

9. Not happy align your YouTube Video in the middle of the page

If you see now that your video is not in the middle and is aligned right than with a bit of HTML Coding you can move the video into the middle of the page. It will look so much better. 

So how to reposition the YouTube Video into the center? 

FIrst step 

You will need the YouTube embed code what you have inserted in your page through the text tab.

You see below the code of the video code what will be automaticly aligned left. Scroll up to see how to get the code.

Here are the instructions in short again without pictures.

* Grab the code you want to insert from the YouTube( or video souce you chose to have) page via the share >then  embed * 

Copy the code and go to the page you want to embed your code and click on your page right at the top “text”  paste the code.

To change your code * Now right click with your mouse so you can edit the HTML code. Insert the following at the front of the code where it says <iframewidth=…..

enter code to align centerClick on the right top update the page again and check that your video is now aligned in the center. Some pages or post look ok when the video is aligned on the left side but sometimes it just look nicer when it is aligned in the middle. 

Change the Height and Width of the YouTube Video.

You can also change the width and height of your video. Just enter the dimensions you want to have.

Just make sure it looks in proportions. Below you can see the picture in yellow where you can change the size.

Make sure you do only change the numbers all the rest leave the same instead of 560 use 680 and instead of 315 use 415 ( just an example.) change the size of the video

Linktree and Instagram are a good combination. 

Links on Instagram don’t work

Why you properly ask? Simple clickable links don’t work on Instagram posts. But you still want people to click on your content or post and be redirected to your website. Well, that is where Link Tree comes in. It is great and helps you to get more traffic to your website. 

You go to Instagram see a great post with a link and you try to click on it and it does not work. ( Sign up form for a newsletter) Happens all the time … so what to do. You want your links working right? 

People have to copy the link and paste it into their browser to access it, and no one is probably going to take their time to do that. Especially when you are on the mobile phone. 

Many people these days watch and do things mainly from their mobile. 

Linktree an easy solution for Instagram Business Accounts. 

That’s what this post is all about: an easy and free tool, Linktree for business Instagram accounts.
If you don’t utilise Linktree, Instagram’s setup will be frustrating for you as a business owner.
I love to show you in this post how to drive traffic to your site from Instagram, but Instagram makes it a bit harder to do that when compared to other social media. Like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Plus. 

 Nothing is impossible.

Your Bio Profile on Instagram 

The good news is that Instagram allows personal and business profiles to have a clickable link located in the bio segment of their profile, and that’s what I am going to teach you, I.e. to leverage this segment to its maximum potential.

Step 1. Create an accountlink Tree sign up page

Go to Linktree and sign up with your Instagram account. Also, make sure you’re logged into the business’s Instagram account you want Linktree to be connected to.

This will certify that Linktree would link up correctly with your business’s Instagram account

Step2: Add as many links as you desire

Immediately you are logged in with your new account, Click on the + ADD NEW BUTTON/LINK. Then, paste the desired URL and name it and Make sure your link title has a Sharp message!

Even though there is an unlimited number of links you may add, I will recommend a maximum of six, because if you add more, the list tends to get really elongated and people will have to scroll down to see the full list.

On the other hand, it’s quite distracting. You may switch your links on and off manually.  You can also switch them around the links so that the new ones are on the top. I do this from time to time so it looks always like things are updated. 
There is an option available to show each link at a specific time. But, this is a premium feature which you need to pay to access this option.

There are a free version and a pro version the free version comes with following features.

Step 3;  Paste your Linktree link into your Instagram profile.

If your account has been verified, you will receive a custom Linktree link. This will be the link that you will add to your Instagram Bio.

All you have to do is,

After that, paste your link in the Website section of your Instagram profile. Remember to Authorize Linktree to get access to your basic information. Click “Authorize.

Step 4: Make sure you Select a plan.

This is where you get to choose to use Linktree for free or for six dollars per month depending on the options you have in mind.

For instance, Linktree for business Instagram accounts, The free plan includes basic functions like unlimited links on your Linktree and information on links clicked.

Step 6: You can now set up your linktree.

Now we unto the real deal! As you know, Linktree for business Instagram accounts allows users to have unlimited links, you may eventually put a link for every single page from your website.

I will recommend using the links that you prefer people use the most from your blog or website, and links that are the most crucial to your customers. Also try including links for your email signup page, contact page, website homepage, latest blogs you’ve posted, events coming up in the community that you plan to talk about.

A brief Insight into Linktree for business Instagram accounts

The fantastic part about this is that you can dictate whatever you want in the text box.

This is fantastic to quickly and clearly display your brand’s voice. You can also change the link colours your links with a few pre-chosen options for the free version, or to match your brand or logo for the paid version.

Once your link is in place, you may want to explore the settings. There are a lot of things you may do with your links once you have them set up on Link Tree. They include:
Edit/delete links
• Turn link on/off
• Check link clicks
• Show link at a specific time

At the Settings tab, you will see several options for theme colours. On the Linktree free version, there are 4 colours to choose. 

They also have some gorgeous gradients for you to choose from.

If you desire a custom colour, for example, to match your branding, then you probably need to get the Pro Version. I am especially in love with the blue gradient right now.

You are good to go! The spectacular part is that you won’t ever have to link the URL into your Instagram bio again. And each time you log in to Linktree, it will remember you (as long as you’re logged in to your business’s Instagram profile).

From the home page, you may edit your links as often or as rarely as you want, and your Linktree will be automatically updated.

Start a journal and document your website traffic especially when you post a new blog or put some content up. It is interesting to see the results each day. Do the journal on your computer as I do. 

See what works and what does not work. This way you can find a balance and quickly figure out what your customers want to see and what they don’t want to see or are interested in. 

Ok I know People say plugins can slow down the website but there are a few essential plugins you need to have. 

Some plugins are just a must… Yes, it is said that plugins slow your site but it depends on how the code is managed. 

WordPress SEO by Yoast. It is one of the most downloaded WordPress plugins of all times

SEMrush. ..SEMrush

There are still some others but I have the experience with both of them and they are very helpful for SEO. Both have a free version. 

Do you have a System?

If the answer is NO … then you need to act. You need a system right now that you can implement right now and you will see your traffic will in a matter of weeks skyrocket.

With the right system, it is not so difficult to increase your website visitors.

I have learned a great system with an online university that has the system already in place, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel again and start a system from scratch, use what is already proven with success. Many other people using it. wealthy affiliate

At some point in a business venture, we just have to follow the right steps and everything falls into place That happens to me when I figured out what is missing for me and my online business to become successful. Yes, it is quickly created content but you might also make your site look cheap and it will not help you with your branding or your authority. 

If you use an article spinner you need to proofread your content and that takes time. Most of the time it is written in a way that it makes no sense. Also, the easy flow of the content is not there.

Google can penalize you if they recognize that you use article generators.

People come to such sites ones or twice but then they don’t come back. Content is important and the Quality counts not the Quantity.

Mix it up so you keep your readers, interested and they will come back for more. Please remember the Quality of your content is important too.

social media sharing  Sharing your content is important, but you need to participate and interact with your community.  It is like a customer relations in a business. Joining Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, Google plus, etc. stay active in that social network and interact with your audience. Got a Twitter account then join the discussion groups with hashtags relevant to your content.

Is your Audience leaving comments on your Facebook posts? Reply to them start a conversation. People will stop participating if they see you only post and you are not active.

Share your content on a regular base. It is now more simple as you can use plugins to install on your site and you set them up and they will share your content automatically.

Paid Advertising

The most obvious is the paid search. ( Paid Advertising)

You can get paid search on Google,  social media advertising, display advertising, and solo ads all are excellent ways for attracting visitors to your site. It helps to build your brand and to get your website in front of people. If you are new to paid advertising I suggest you get some training first otherwise you might lose your money for nothing.

If you are familiar with paid advertising than adjust the ads to suit your budget.  Be clear about your goals on advertising who you want to target and what you want to achieve. ( just want to get more traffic, or do you want conversions . ) Each Advertising  Channel has his pros and cons, think carefully about your goals and objectives before you spent your money.

You need to target high commercial intent keywords as part of your paid search strategies if you want more sales to your site.

Start with 3 to 4 ads run them a couple of days on a minimum budget and see how they perform. Fine-tune the best ones and used them for a bigger campaign.

One last advise … Keep a journal on your ROI( it helps to track your campaigns.)

Email Marketing  and Freebiesemail marketing a great way to get customers

Don’t let your visitors leave your website empty-handed, offer them some freebies in form of e-books, planners, downloadable video, strategies sessions of 15 minutes content there are so many options.

With your freebies, you can create an opt-in form and collect their email address this way you will actually have recurring visitors and income.

Create Newsletters but please don’t spam them. For me, Spam is a no-go. Take into consideration that they are the same as you and will unsubscribe if you overdo your campaigns. To collect your emails you will need an autoresponder. I can recommend Get response it is free for the first 30 days and with it, you can do great newsletters and the email campaign is easy to set up.

Use Content upgrades

What is a Content upgrade? It is an incentive that compliments one of your articles. It can be a worksheet, a planner, a spreadsheet, a cheat sheet, an app, anything you to compliment your article.

People are more compelled to opt-in with their email address as it is integrated with your content.

Traffic exchange

Another tool that is popular is traffic exchange. How it works it is simple and plain and you have to choose a good traffic exchange site as a lot of them out there are not really helping your site in the long-term.  As a website owner, you are able to sign up for any traffic exchange program.

In the traffic exchange program, you earn credits by visiting other sites sometimes for 10 or 20 seconds. The credits will be used by the Traffic exchange program to sent other members to your website. All the websites in the Traffic exchange program will have then increased website traffic. This is the same way as link exchange works.

It applies the same concept the only difference is that you can exchange links with other sites that complement yours. This link exchange will drive traffic to your website through direct links or through improvement of your search engine ranking.

When you are finished writing your content go and submit your post URL to a ping service. Why should you ping your site or blog? The URL will be submitted to different search engines and get indexed.

It is a tool worth gold in the SEO industry.. It will index your URL or backlinks very fast and it is done in an easy way with those tools.

Did you know that nearly 80% of backlinks on the digital web remain deindexed due neglecting? It also means that most of the SEO campaigns fail and they don’t see the result they expected.

  • You will need some time to develop your business, and that means you need to set aside some time.

    Provide Service for other people

Let us go over some options for newbies and what you need to pay as an online marketer if you take the fast route and you are sure it will be a long-term business for you.

If you go for the free route, you have to do still the same only doing it on free products. ( please note free products are limited in what you can do with them, and how far you go in your business.)

The free route is a longer and harder way. The freeway is good for a startup but when you start making profit reinvest some into your business.

Courses free or paid

In any way free or paid you to need to educate your self about the online marketing the basics what you need to know.
For example, if you wish to publish books on Kindle, you might buy kindling or another kindle course that starts with the basic.

There are some free courses also available on youtube and udemy. It depends on you but free content is seldom organised, and you need to sort through what is available and when will you need it.

You need to arrange free courses as a step by step guide on your own.

Don’t get me wrong there is plenty of resources all over the Internet but first searching for it, organising it and putting it in the right context is time-consuming and you can get easily sidetracked.

It is convenient when the people who created the course have outlined step by step in detail with there experience what works and what doesn’t.
Example:
If you buy each day a cup of coffee at Starbucks or Coffee bean stop doing it and make the coffee and sandwich yourself, saving that money saves you time and it buys you the course.

Starbucks coffee each day 3.00 Dollar may be a sandwich or muffin that goes with it another 1.50 Dollar each day instead of spending that 6.00 Dollar save it and invest it into your course.  If your course cost 49 Dollar you are back for Starbuck coffee in less than ten days voila your first course is paid. starbucks coffee and muffin

Courses sometimes are sold in boiler rooms where sales people will call you based on a low investment you make – then offering you the sky and the stars so that you max out your credit card because this is a one time offer and if you want to be in the top 100 you should not miss that fantastic offer.

You don’t need to go for that, it is up to you and what you can afford. Don’t be pressured by the salespeople. The world will still be there if you pass that offer.

Domain Names

It will be a necessity to have a domain name when you want to start affiliate marketing like Amazon or Rakuten or getting paid for people advertising on your site.

Doing a long-term business where you are in control and getting leads than a domain name is a must.
When you use free promotion sites ( no free websites that are different)  promote your affiliate marketing you have to consider a few things. Not get me wrong in the beginning it is great to use them but you are giving away good money as you are not creating a list, It can happen that one day you wake up and your whole account is locked.  When that happens, then you will lose all your hard work and time you invested in one go.

It is ok to use those free programs without a website or domain but why investing all this time and work and in the end, you have to start again.

Domains are one of the cheapest investments, and on top of it, you are in control.

It will also create an absolute authority in your niche.

Hosting is a service that keeps your site alive. Hosting for one site or unlimited domains is available with different providers.
It is cheap, and most website hosts start with a reasonable plan that starts from  $2.95 to $29.95, per month depends on what service you chose.

Advertising and Traffic

You have to differentiate between to kinds of traffic
Organic traffic = free traffic ( mostly done through SEO Search Engine Optimisation) and social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Google Plus, Hangouts, Pinterest, youtube etc.

Paid traffic= traffic you pay for on search engines like google, bing, and or other traffic sources like social media (youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
Some marketers buy only traffic and some only use SEO.
Both ways are ok, and the best method is to combine both.

Another way is using Solo Ads in Email Marketing, Adwords campaigns and other avenues. Cost can be from low to high. The good thing is that you can do things on a small scale ( sent solo ads to a smaller list) and grow it over time.

First of all the necessary tools are you need a computer, internet connection. You will quickly understand that every course you take tries to sell you on their tools and they wrap it nicely that they make you believe that you need this tool to succeed.
You can succeed without them.

You have to prioritise and consider what is a necessity and what is a luxury. Remember you are starting off and on this stage of your journey you don’t need it.

Except for a keyword tool it helps you to see where your competition is and where they rank.

Some Internet marketers will not agree with me, but if you start, you should quickly get used to a keyword tool to write your content. It helps you with ranking and traffic.

For me an Internet marketer without a keyword tool( google keyword planner, jaaxy, ( free tools) is like a hairdresser without the scissors.

You do not sign up for the higher priced in-depth keyword tools; the free ones are doing the job in the beginning and keep you rolling.

Email Autoresponders are another option. Free ones like Mail Chimp are doing a good job and can be easily integrated into your website through the API key.

If you want a paid one you can use get the response and a Weber.
Price for a Weber is the first month 1 dollar, and the next month it is $19.
Getresponse is my favourite as you can do a lot of things with it like landing pages, forms for sign-ups and opt-in forms, newsletters etc. the first month is free and then pay $15 monthly.

I would highly recommend when you see regular traffic to your site start implementing an autoresponder and capture the emails.

Graphics

For sure you want to have graphics for your website( a minisite package for example what includes the background header, footer, and even ebook cover graphics for your infographic products. Canva is a great free product.

In time your Business will grow, and whenever you don’t know how to do or what to do, you will need funds to outsource it to someone else. ( Fiverr, Upwork, freelancer etc.)
The task I am talking about is the technical task, and time-consuming task, or just a task you don’t like to do.

Those tasks can cost from 5 Dollar to 100 Dollars and more. But on Fiverr, you will find a person who can do it at an acceptable price that doesn’t break your bank.

Prioritize Your Spending

That is important as in the high of becoming an Internet Marketer and being a newbie you are bombarded with so many opportunities, and everyone is telling you that you have to have it the courses, the tools and other items.
It is overwhelming and doesn’t fall for the shiny object syndrome most of them want your money nothing else.

Make yourself a plan and prioritise your step by step plan of implementing specific task and match then the spending of your money. ( weekly and monthly planner) set out your goals and write down what you want to achieve in a certain time.
For example, don’t spend money on a domain if you do not yet know what your niche is and what kind of business you want.
(health, weight loss, pets,  languages etc.
e-commerce, affiliate marketing, own products, drop shipping)

As you might know this right away but educate yourself about Internet marketing, so you have a better idea of when and how to invest your money. ( remember always search for discount codes on the internet if you are counting the dollars)
Stick to a budget that is important and put some reserve aside in case something out of the blue happens.

Don’t let experienced marketers talk you into out maxing your credit cards, borrowing money or getting into debt. Save your money first and go and offer services to other people if you need one course or product so desperate. Save your money first and then buy it, don’t go for impulse shopping always sleep a night over it. The offer is still there tomorrow or the day after.  How to Internet Marketing for beginners Important is that when you start making profit re-invest some money back into your business. You want to keep the momentum and put your efforts on track to grow your business and success.

To get ahead faster is partnering with people. When you partner with other people, you can cut costs in one way and increase your productivity. Do your diligence with whom you partner.

My advice finding someone who has the different talents of what you have. For example, if you can handle the technical tasks well then look for someone who can write well that way you are a great pair who complement each other.

To get what you need you to have to swap or bargain with others especially when you just get started. Say you want to join this course, but you do not have the cash for it, contact the owner and find out if they need anything you can offer.
When you are good at writing offer some free pages of content in exchange for a copy, or if you are great at doing animation videos provide them with an animation video they can use to promote the course.

Don’t let your pride stand in your way of offering to help build your business.

When you grow your business and build your authority, please remember that speed and satisfaction are two different things.

You might find ways to a quick profit but that doesn’t mean it lasts forever or you are going to be happy with that business model in the long term.

Reevaluate your business over time as you start making an income. Have the means to branch out and do something that will make you indeed content.  Be inspired by your business.
